Sophie Herxheimer is a poet, painter and printmaker who loves stories. Her paintings and prints have been exhibited in the National Portrait Gallery, the South Bank and the Whitworth Gallery, Manchester amongst other galleries. Her books include Wonder Tales, edited by Marina Warner, and more recently the intensely poetic Velkom to Inklant. Sophie describes herself as an 'English Rose', and is responsible for the end of the sexist era in our poster series. You might be tempted, as myself, to enquire about the presence of a football & an armchair in your glass of wine… Sophie will reply that these are elements of association with relaxation and pleasure.
