So far Lyu Hanabusa has created two photographic images for Willi's Wine Bar. This poster, his second, appeared just after the catastrophe of September 11th. Hanabusa wanted to express his response to the tragedy through the message ‘For peace, love & good wine in the new millennium’ and took as a starting point Antonio Canova’s "Psyche revived by Cupid's kiss", a beautiful romantic sculpture standing today in the Louvre. Lyu Hanabusa was born in Osaka, Japan, and has published a wide variety of works including nude photography, collaborative works with novelists, travel and landscape photography, as well as many, many portraits, among others of Simone de Beauvoir, Agnès Varda, Julie Delpy and singers Françoise Hardy, Dalida and Barbara to name but a few.
