Petronille, who signs our 2018 Willi’s Bottle Art poster is, by any measure, an unusual artist. A serial member of the Willi’s front of house team, she was once described by her professeur at the Université of Bordeaux as ‘très speciale’. It could possibly have been a compliment. It should not surprise you then that we had no trouble in adopting her. Behind the bar she will answer to the name of Arabella but lives on after hours as Petronille – a smoldering Franglaise waif with a dexterous & spontaneous paw that will quickly unearth the truffle in life. Petronille’s Parisienne chic & ever so slightly stroppy image for Willi’s is a continuation of a series of posters entitled ‘en homage à Ponti’ by a string of famous artists including Cathy Millet & Xavier Mariscal. Ponti designed the inimitable Gitanes cigarette packet. Get the blue ?
